What is it?
Therapeutic Listening is the use of specially filtered music CDs played over high quality headphones for twice a day for a specific amount of time. The purpose of the listening program is to entrain the ears to tune into specific tones and frequencies (speech levels), to use the right ear as the dominant ear, and to stimulate brain processing for adaptive changes.
Who is it for?
Individuals who may benefit from a therapeutic listening program are those experiencing difficulties in sensory processing, sensory defensiveness, expressive or receptive language, motor skills, behavioral and social adjustments.
