PLAY Tutors
An intensive, early intervention program at the Abilities Center for children ages 18 months – 8 years, who are on the Autistic Spectrum. Parent and child will work with a PLAY Project Tutor 2-4 days per week under the supervision of a PLAY Project Consultant. Tutors will work with the child to enhance engagement according the principles of PLAY Project. Sessions may be videotaped for continued training and feedback.
Purpose of the PLAY Program
To help families by providing floor-time hours to children on the autistic spectrum, given that intensive floor-time intervention has been shown to positively impact a child's engagement and social skills.
