Become a Love and Logic Parent, America’s most practical and entertaining parent training program. “This 6 week parent training program will help you feel more confident as a parent”, says Elli Kloc, Love and Logic class facilitator. “It will help you have more fun parenting and it will provide answers to dealing with such issues as how to stop children from bickering and fighting, how to get children to help with chores without an argument, how to discipline a toddler in public and how to get a teenager to come home at the agreed-upon time.”
Love and Logic parents offer choices and alternatives, instead of barking orders. They may sound like this:
“Would you like to clean up your toys with the music on and off?”
“What would be best for you --- the blue shirt or the red shirt?”
“Would you like to wear your coat or carry it?”
Love and Logic parents find they get better results by saying what they will do, instead of what they want the child to do. They may sound like this:
“I keep the toys that I clean up.”
“I argue on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. Be glad to discuss it then.”
“I will drive you to your friend’s house when I feel treated with respect.”
“I will be glad to listen to you when your voice is as calm as mine.”
The six session program will be offered on consecutive Tuesdays, beginning September 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Abilities Center.

Absolutely! The techniques learned in the Love and Logic workshop work with all children, and adults as well. Because of our emotional investment in our own children, it is often the most difficult relationship in which to understand our place. People who take the Love and Logic workshop often tell me that it positively changed their relationships with employers, employees, spouses, friends and relatives.
