Our Center

The Abilities Center

The Abilities Center is an enriching environment specifically designed to enhance the opportunities for children to move, explore, experience, learn, and develop new skills. Central Park is equipped with special rubber flooring laid out to replicate a sidewalk, a road, and a green grassy play area. A full set of stairs with two levels of railing leading to a second floor play area allows children to learn to climb stairs in a safe, supportive environment.

Waiting Room

The Abilities Center Waiting Room

The waiting room has a sound reducing wall covering. This covering can be used with velcro so that materials can be shared with those who come to the Abilities Center. Sections of this wall space are designated for "Community Happenings", "What's In the News" and Abilities Center Events. A case displays products and items to enhance the child's development or educate parents or professionals, and these products are available for purchase.

Conference Room

Conference Room

The conference room, adjacent to the waiting room, is used for parent conferences, meetings with other professionals and for parents to gather resources and information. A library of books, CDs, videos and community resources is also available.
